If you can accomplish your dream all by yourself, it’s likely that your dream isn’t very big.
Going it alone is hard. Teamwork makes it easier—and a lot less lonely.
The fact is, it costs nothing to dream bigger. And oftentimes bigger dreams are easier to achieve than small ones—because they’re more motivating and inspiring.
It’s also easier to attract people to your team. People like to be part of something bigger than they are.
It doesn’t mean you have to HIRE a team—although that may be appropriate in some cases. But you do need collaboration. You need expertise. You need support. You need a network of people who know and believe in what you are doing.
I think every small business should have an advisory board. It’s not hard to set up because people like to advise and lend their knowledge and experience. It also provides more accountability for you as the CEO of your organization.
A little less formalized is a Master Mind Team. Also easy to organize.
Regardless, I urge you to employ the power of a team. Brainstorm, make decisions, get stuff done—it’s easier, it’s faster and it’s more fun.
