Here’s What Others Have Planned for You

How many people other than yourself lay awake at night thinking about how you can have a better life? I’m guessing the same number I had—zero.

Success Net is about helping you define, design, plan, create and live your best life.

And we’re committed to doing so. But the first step is for you to understand that you and you alone, are the architect of your life.

And your best life doesn’t just happen. It doesn’t automatically unfold, and it’s not given to you. You have to design and create your best life yourself. You are 100% responsible.

No one else can, or will, do this for you.

In fact, here is a complete list of what others’ have planned for you:

That’s right, nothing.

So if you don’t take charge of the direction, focus and intentions for your life, you will default to the plans of others. And that’s not good.

YOU have to take charge. You can’t leave your life to chance.

It’s time to get clear on what your best life could be.

How would you describe it? What does it look like? What will make it exceptional? I encourage you to ask for 100% of what you want your life to be. Sketch out a world-class life. Be specific, but also allow for things to be even better than you imagine. Don’t limit yourself with your vision.

What do you WANT in your life and what DON’T you want in your life.

There’s an old Indian proverb that says, “When you were born, you cried while the rest of the world rejoiced. Live your life in such a way that when you die, the world cries while YOU rejoice.”

We all want a life we can rejoice in having lived. We want to be happy, experience joy, have fun and live a life of significance and meaning. But how do you make that happen?

It starts with your design. And then a plan.

The fact is, most people put more time and energy into planning their vacation than they do planning out their year. And only a very small percentage of people ever design and plan their best LIFE—a VERY small percentage.

Take a few minutes to begin your defining your ideal life. Where will you live? What will you create? What will your health look like? How much will you earn? How will you best serve? Whom will you serve? Who will be in your life?

I started writing my vision for my ideal life in 1985. It runs several pages and is a detailed description of the best life I can imagine living. I update it every couple of years and it’s amazing to me how closely my current circumstances now match what I envisioned 30 years ago.

And a few years ago, I shared my system for designing, planning, creating and tracking the many areas of my life and business. It’s called the Best Life Navigator™ and it’s been set up for you to customize it to your own personal preferences.

It’s all explained on this page.

PS: Remember what other people have planned for you—little or nothing. But this is a system you will love using as you design, plan, create, live and track your best life.
