The Biggest Room in the World

One of the ways I’ve described SuccessNet over the years is, “great people becoming even better.” We really are about self-improvement and creating our best lives.

My wife and I are fortunate to have a beautiful home which we truly love and appreciate. And yet we’re always looking to make improvements. There’s nothing wrong with it—it’s just that we enjoy it AND enjoy making it suit us even more than it does.

We also have a great relationship. And we work at improving that as well. It’s rare that things get better on their own. Everything in our lives requires care. And everything can be improved upon. Constant And Never-ending Improvement (CANI) should be balanced with Constant And Never-ending Appreciation (CANA).

You might wonder how—and even why—you should appreciate and enjoy something you may not be quite satisfied with. You don’t want to make what you have wrong or bad. If you do, that’s where your focus will remain and that is what you will attract and expand upon. But when you acknowledge and appreciate what you have while also making it even better, you’re in a nurturing rather than correcting mode. And that makes anything easier to improve.

One of the tactics we recommend is to hold WINE meetings. WINE stands for What Is Not Excellent?

By identifying areas you want to improve and planning ways to improve them, you’ll create excellence. By constantly improving upon what you do, how you do it and what you have, you can’t help but excel. It’s as simple as that.

So schedule a WINE meeting today with your staff, your team, your spouse or your family. Make it fun. And enjoy the ride.

Because you see, the biggest room in the world IS the room for improvement.

Best Life Tactic: WINE Meetings: What Is Not Excellent? And how can we make it excellent?
