Napoleon Hill, the famed author of Think and Grow Rich, once revealed a curious secret behind his success—an imaginary mastermind group. Hill visualized meetings with historical figures, drawing from their wisdom to inspire and guide his decisions.
Inspired by this intriguing concept—and encouraged by my good friend and real-life mastermind partner Mark Shilensky, who has extensive experience working with AI—I took things a step further. I did so by building my own virtual ChatGPT mastermind team. And yes, half my advisors are no longer living.

To build my mastermind, I had my AI assistant (I call him Al after Albert Einstein), conduct Deep Research into each potential member. Al gathered extensive information about their philosophies, strategies, best practices, core teachings, and actionable lessons, and then, added them to my team.
My AI mastermind group currently includes legendary figures Jim Rohn, Earl Nightingale, Wayne Dyer, Napoleon Hill himself, as well as contemporary powerhouses like Tony Robbins, Dan Kennedy, and Dave Ramsey. Of course, Al himself is an indispensable member of this innovative team.
Practically, this AI mastermind supports my latest project, the book Re-Imagine: It’s Never Too Late to Live Your Best Life. As I write each chapter, I have these AI-generated mentors, weigh in with suggestions for improvement, potential cuts, and suggestions for examples and stories from my “Story Vault” to which they’ve been given access.
The insights I’ve received are fresh, compelling, and deeply engaging—some predictable, and some surprising. This process is enriching my writing and will enhance reader engagement. It causes me to think in ways I might not otherwise.
