We pay tribute this day to women everywhere who every day in many ways demonstrate their wisdom, intuition and courage.

In the last 150 years, they have only begun to receive credit for their contributions and be treated to the honor and equality they so greatly deserve.

—Michael Angier

“A woman is like a tea bag. You never know how
strong she is until she gets into hot water.”

      —Eleanor Roosevelt

March 8th is International Women's Day.
It originated in 1857, when a group of women went on strike in New York City protesting against low wages, long working hours and inhumane working conditions. It was the first organized action by working women anywhere in the world. Since then, March 8th is a day to recognize the achievements and successes of women everywhere.
