Let me start by saying I believe that there’s a lot more to integrity than being honest. That said, honesty is not to be discounted. A big part of the financial meltdown over the last year began a long time ago. Unfortunately, greed, deception and fraud played a large role in most of the failures. The effect, of course, went far beyond the reach of the financial institutions. The “ripple effect” ended up to be more like a tsunami. We were led to believe the watchdog agencies, the courts and our laws would protect us from much of the disaster that occurred. Obviously, this was not the case.
I’m not an economist and I don’t pretend to know a great deal about international banking, the mortgage industry and the like. But without question, decisions were made, shortcuts were taken and too many people let their values go by the wayside.
The second and third definition of integrity is wholeness and completeness.

Daily Quote
“An investment in yourself will pay dividends for the rest of your life. It won’t depreciate, it will appreciate. It will never be devalued or stolen. Clearly, your inner portfolio is the best investment you can make.”
